Well, why not start the year with a literal leviathan of English lit? Sure it's long. Yes, the narrative runs down several rabbit trails. But the prose is glorious and . . . fun? Yes, fun. I expect this will take awhile for me to finish, but that's fine. I'm allowing myself to take the necessary time, not rush it, but savor it.

It is a great leviathan to tackle. Be ready for all things whaling, and there are details you will learn that you never probably wanted too, but the journey is worth it.
