I've hit the halfway point! I will finish this! I will! I shall!

Well, why not start the year with a literal leviathan of English lit? Sure it's long. Yes, the narrative runs down several rabbit trails. But the prose is glorious and . . . fun? Yes, fun. I expect this will take awhile for me to finish, but that's fine. I'm allowing myself to take the necessary time, not rush it, but savor it.
