I hate when characters go on like.. internal monologues about their feelings. It's always so shallow. Just "i'm falling in love with so and so, their eyes are beautiful, I want to kiss their lovely full lips, I can't live without them".. don't TELL me you're attracted to/in love with them. SHOW me.

“Men don’t often like to admit they’ve been abused, do they? What I’ve come to understand is there’s no disgrace in saying it." What's with the sudden therapy speak.. so annoying when books do this. Like. That's not the vibe of anything else that's been going on. And it comes across as so unnatural.

They keep saying wonderland is wonderful--there are some dangerous areas, but the rest makes it worth saving. Where are the good parts?? We've only seen shitty dangerous stuff!

So, one thing I fear with the Hatter being a main character is that we'll see too much of him and he won't seem.. well. Mad. We'll see.

It's a shame, really, considering so much of the fun in the og alice comes from the bizarre characters she meets.. and they've interacted very little with anyone but each other, and the hatter isn't even all that weird.

Also.. the red queen and the queen of hearts are two different characters in the original books, but I guess we've rolled them into one. Still confused about time period bc alice is wearing jeans. Wish it didn't modernize.
