Plato argues that justice cannot be giving each his due, because it would mean human error would make hurting the friend and helping the ally possible, it would allow villains into society as those who can keep peace are equally qualified to break it, and that to hurt an enemy is to commit injustice, as justice is human excellence, and hurting people makes people less excellent.
