On and off with this book cause of school but the murder of Alyona is one of the greatest chapters i’ve ever read; I even dreamt I was Raskolnikov committing the murder and then pondering the consequences and morality of it at one point because the Chapter was so good. Fyodor does such a good job proving Arendt and criticizing Kantian ethics. We cannot solely legislate the categorical imperative + ordinary evils.

clumsy sentences that are good the same way Jimmy Page was good. It just seems so honest and vulnerable, I love the awkward sentences that capture exactly how hard it is to think when you have anxiety

Angel Cesa is starting On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous
The truest strength on this earth is to look at those who oppress you, and understand they are only harborers of a pain given to them by someone else. Monster is a lighthouse, a signal, a warning; powerful.

One is pushed to their limits by poverty, we cannot dearly say that being poor is no excuse to be an asshole. Yet, we flaunt trends today like quiet luxury and simplicity as a trademark of tasteful wealth; as if that mimicry of poverty is only possible through that security of wealth. Perhaps, a person must find comfort outside material security, beyond physical health even, to be truly at peace.

What can I really say about book 1. I think its fascinating but morbidly wrong. I get that it tries to resolve the faults of both Hobbes and Locke, but its proposition is maybe more of a political reality than suitable advice for governance.

Where do I even begin with the first essay. Well, the first essay is publicly available on JSTOR and such. If you cannot get your hands on this book, read the first essay I say its a MUST. It will change how you think of Philippine politics, or give you the answer that has been looming in the mind, not adequately formulated just yet. Brilliant. Philippine history: distorted, nuanced, and more than black and white.

Furthermore, Plato refuted thrasymachus’ claim that justice is the interest of the stronger party because law makers can make insufficient laws unintentionally, and that means disobeying the intentions of the law. He also points that unjust man is ignorant and the just man is knowledgable by virtue of the unjust making competition, and the just seeking knowledge instead competing only against having none.

Plato argues that justice cannot be giving each his due, because it would mean human error would make hurting the friend and helping the ally possible, it would allow villains into society as those who can keep peace are equally qualified to break it, and that to hurt an enemy is to commit injustice, as justice is human excellence, and hurting people makes people less excellent.

They can't call me gay for reading this cuz Willem doesn't even identify as gay nor does Jude identify as anything. In all seriousness, the beauty of Jude and Willem's romance is that it spites conventional identity norms and just portrays two people in love for the sake of love. But so far, this book has been sort of ambiguous with its intentions. Beautiful prose made from vile contents. Brilliant.

Angel Cesa is on page 21 of 85 of Feminism for the 99%: A Manifesto
A real, virtuous interpretation of a liberal Ideology. Exceptional precisely because it recognizes the bigger picture that the sizes of Justice one may fight for, is for a specific few. Book addresses this crucial issue a lot of people have with Feminism: will it only save women? This book solves Gynocracy by magnifying the already important social roles everyone plays.

willem &jude have one of the most beautiful romances i've ever read in a novel. My favorite part about it is how Jude is a sort of feminine man, slender and good at household tasks, while willem is masculine. The gay relationship which is in a very strange way, the straightest gay couple Ive ever witnessed, is great. This part of their dynamic is a beautiful piece on love, and how we break norms to accept each other.
