This should have been one of my favorite books of all time but I read it when I wasn't in the mood for fantasy and I have GOT to go back. I low key think I read the first book in the series as an 8 year old because I've written scenes in my own books that are super reminiscent of that one. Such a good series

I remember kind of liking the first one but being unsure, and struggling to start this one a while ago. I think I’ve just needed to get used to the writing style, especially going from a singular first person POV series to this which is…different haha.It was hard for me to connect to the characters because you don’t know what they’re actually thinking or even doing at any moment, and usually really in depth character based stories are my jam. But then, in the last quarter you realize the cleverness of it all, and those moment you do start to understand what’s going on make it a worthwhile payoff.
