So Be It-
Verity gets pregnant abt 2 weeks after lying to Jeremy. After Crew is born, Veritys books have brought her so much success Jeremy is able to quit his job & stay home w the kids.
The twins are only 8 by this point, at a sleepover w their friend. Jeremy gets a call the next day & they rush to the hospital, when they get there they’re told Chastin died from an allergic reaction. She was allergic to peanuts & the girls snuck snacks in the middle of the night..When the mom tries waking Chastin up the next day she was unresponsive.
Jeremy is distraught, so hurt & sad by the loss. Verity is sad abt losing Chastin but mostly only feels anger toward Harper- she’s completely convinced she had something to do w it, regrets not killing her as a baby!!
After the loss of their baby Jeremy is mourning for awhile & Verity is horny 😭😭 she’s impatient & wants him to get over it so they can go back to having sex regularly, is literally annoyed by his sadness!

Present- Lowen thinks Verity is faking her sickness, she taunts her when no one’s around lolol calling her a cunt & telling her she’s gonna fuck Jeremy in their bed- wants to see if she’ll react but she doesn’t- instead she pisses herself…

So Be It-
Harper dies 6 months after Chastin- Verity kills her! She hated watching Jeremy be so filled w grief, her hatred for Harper growing. One day Jeremy goes to the grocery store & tells Verity to bring the kids down to the lake. She starts thinking abt how much of a happier family they’d be if Harper were gone & it was just the 3 of them…thinks that Jeremy is so filled up w grief over Chastin that it won’t make a difference if he looses Harper too!
Verity loads the kids into a canoe, paddles them out into the lake..tells Crew to hold his breath & she flips it!! Then grabs Crew & swims back while Harper cries out for her help. She makes Crew sit on the shore after despite his pleas for her to save Harper…She tells Crew to go call his dad & tell him that she’s saving Harper so it doesn’t look suss, then just chills there till Harper goes silent…
Verity goes back into the lake to make sure Harper drowned & wasn’t hiding under the canoe, pretends to call out for her when Crew comes back out…
Police show up & then Jeremy, he runs into the lake, searches her Harper for over an hour before he finds her body tangled up in fishing net…He is in complete shock, tries CPR, refuses to let go of Harper, paramedics have to pry her out of his arms…
Verity puts on a show of distraught mom while thinking to herself that Jeremy is deff gonna take this hard, that he’s not reacting how she wanted but she’ll just give him time & then he’ll adjust again! - I hate that bitch so much- those poor girls !

Present- Lowen is disgusted reading this..torn between showing Jeremy the autobiography or just keeping it silent- doesn’t know if she wants to reopen that wound & the knowledge would only make it harder for Jeremy.

Lowen has been telling Jeremy recently that he deserves to live for himself too, that he shouldn’t let him & Crews life pass them by bc of verity, that they need to live more. Jeremy has been considering & decides to put verity in a nursing facility going forward, she’ll only be home 3 weekends out of the month.
Lowen is very happy abt that, decides to stay another week now that verity will be leaving. Decides not to show Jeremy the autobiography cause it’ll only hurt him..

Lowen & Jeremy have been fucking a lottt more recently, he doesn’t pull out in time & after he leaves she puts a pillow underneath her hips so his swimmers swim upstream ahhh!!! 😭😭😭 she’s tryna baby trap him 🤪

Lowen asks Crew abt the canoe when they’re alone one day…asks how it tipped over. Crew tells her his mom said not to talk to anyone abt her…she asks if verity pretends that she can’t talk…Crew is licking peanut butter off a knife, when she asks that he bites down rlly hard, starts bleeding. She calls for Jeremy, he has to take Crew to the hospital for stitches..asks her if she can stay at the house w Verity while he’s gone…

Lowen gets an old baby monitor out of the basement, sets it up in verity’s room so she can see if she moves, wants to get it on camera so she can show Jeremy. She sits there for a few hours & no movement from her, she decides to finish the last chapter in the autobiography while she waits.

So Be It-
Jeremy asked so many questions abt how this could have happened, says none of it makes sense. The 3 of them are laying in bed one night, Crew told Jeremy that verity told him to hold his breath before the canoe flipped, she can’t come up w an excuse for that so her ruse is up. She ends her book saying that she hopes Jeremy will remember all the good sex they had & forgive her!! But if he ever finds out & reports her to police she’ll just crash her car into a tree!

Present- after Jeremy gets home w Crew he takes a shower, Lowen sees Verity crawling on the floor on the baby monitor!!! She calls out for Jeremy but Verity hears her, hurries back in bed!
Lowen has had enoughhh! She bursts into verity’s room, tells her to get tf up cause she knows she faking it- starts pulling her outta bed by her ankles! Jeremy comes in & pulls her outta there, puts verity back in bed. He thinks Lowen is crazy & has been seeing things, tells her to pack her stuff & leave. Lowen gives him the autobiography so he can read it for himself…

After reading it, Jeremy storms into Verity’s room, tells her to get tf up or he’s taking her biography to the police- she’s wakes right up !! Starts trying to explain, tries running out of the room, Jeremy takes her down, starts strangling her. Lowen has been watching it all on the baby monitor, runs in when she sees him strangling her, talks him out of it for Crew’s sake.
Lowen hates verity just as much as Jeremy does now, they both understand they can’t let her get away w it- Lowen tells him to make her throw up & then cover her mouth so she’ll choke on it - just like she tried doing to Harper when she was a baby!
Afterward they agree to tell police that Jeremy found her like that when he went in her room the next morning.

7 months later-
Jeremy is selling the house, Lowen is pregnant!! They’re moving to North Carolina, bought a house w Verity’s life insurance money :)
They’re packing up the house when Crew says he’s gotta get his stuff out of “mommy’s floor”. He comes downstairs w pictures he drew for her..Lowen goes upstairs to check the room, finds a hiding spot under the floorboards, inside she finds a knife & a letter -

Ok wow…The letter is from Verity to Jeremy…she explains that her book series was so successful cause they were written from the villains POV, sometimes it was hard for her to get into the mindset of a villain so her editor told her to do this exercise where she would write journal entries abt her life but make herself the villain- her entire autobiography was FICTION!!! It rlly helped her writing improve & after losing Harper she would use it as a form of therapy while she grieved.
She never intended for Jeremy to find it, read it & think it was all true…

She admits that the day Harper drowned was genuinely an accident & that she tried with everything inside her to find Harper in the water, that she was trapped in a fishing net below.
After Harper’s death she wrote her biography even more- creating a life that was much worse than the reality she was living in was helping her cope in a weird fucked up way.
Jeremy found it in her office one day, he freaked out before she was able to explain, strangled her till she passed out. When she woke up she was tied up in the passenger seat of their car w no seatbelt on…he drove the car into a tree & then put her body in the driver seat, making it look like she did it to herself..
After waking up the in hospital from an induced coma, verity pretends to be in a vegetable state out of fear Jeremy will try killing her again or turning her into police.
She’s not angry with him, she’s happy that he’s so protective over crew if he genuinely thinks what she wrote was true, still loves him.
This whole time she’s been planning to run away w Crew, writes this letter in hopes he’ll find it one day & understand why she did everything she did.

Lowen decides to rip the letter up & flush it down the toilet. She doesn’t know what the real truth is by this point but knows if Jeremy finds out, it’ll only make him feel guilty, just keeps it all to herself.
