Ok, not to expose how behind I am in this read but on page 95 is the line “Pemulis, who can stand about ten seconds of communal silence tops, clears his” unbolded for everyone or is my copy of the book just tweaking?

I was really confused what you meant initially but yes, mine has that issue too lol. It's less bold than normal—like negatively bolded.
OK, SHOOT. So, I have a new theory: the negatively bolded words are meant to make us read the text quieter . So, when you reading about the communal silence, you're brain is whispering. I noticed that DFW does the same thing again on page 100-- this time it has to do with not breathing.
Lolol I think it's just a misprinting issue. If you document all other occurrences and establish a trend then maybe you've found something but I doubt it
