Finley’s writing is choppy, faltering, and verbose. I know this is a book about a different medium of art but part of art is also describing it in a way that conveys thoughts and ideas effectively and so far I see nothing of the sort. The linguist in me is appalled, and we only just began the book. 😒

dang :'( I haven't even opened mine yet. There is a lot to cover if they're going through the whole art canon; maybe that's why the coverage feels superficial? I feel like your comment describes another audiobook I'm listening to as well :')
