This is a lot more of a drag than I expected. The number of times he’s repeated that X holy event occurred here (the same event recounted multiple times) is exhausting. The nuggets that are interesting are far and few between. The more of reading best suited seems either deep historical dive or else to basically skim large parts and spend your time on the points of contrast or lessons.
