In the beginning of the book Dana had a softness for white men and thought somehow Rufus and her Ancestor Alice were in love. She’s now seeing they aren’t and questioning her own relationship!

I loved the first season on Hulu and I wish the marketing was better. Like knowing it was a book written by a black woman in the 70s would have made the show more interesting. I also miss how short books use to be!
