I wasn't sure if I could get into the story, seeing as its Faerie. Most books nowadays are some Romantasy version that feels bastardized, but this book feels like reading an expedition log/diary combined with those old Irish folklore tales of faeries, its cozy. Also, Wendell makes this story for me. I find him vastly amusing. I love that Emily (EM) isn't a sweet MC but a dragon lady. Shes a strong FMC, which I love.

I'm giving this a shot after hem-hawwing around it for awhile. It sounds cute and cozy, but i'm such a stickler with fairy stories even when both MCs are 'human'. I've seen where a few people DNF'd this because they said it was too slow and boring, but i'm hoping i won't feel that way. I love things that are brainy and academic, even if its based in fantasy. best of luck to me!
