You can smell this book. It smells of burning cigarettes, brown liquor and sex. Every page has a reference to two or all of these. It feels uncomfortable and claustrophobic to build a forbidden romance in the middle of it and then to add on an infant. I’m exhausted with the smells.

Haven’t enjoyed a book in ages. Maybe I’m not in a reading slump. I’m sick of what I’m reading and I need something else to intrigue me. This is such a wonderful story.
