No, Wilson's at it again!

"It is a naïve rendering of 'turn the other cheek' to think that Christians are instructed to forgive all trespasses." – I mean they very literally are...

"If they did, then there would be no protection against self-seeking behaviours within groups." — there's a big difference between forgiving a person and punishing a behaviour (+ religions should favour reconciliation over punishment)

I forgot this was the same man who wrote Darwin's Cathedral. Group selection is better explained here, but I must say he comes across as quite full of himself.
