Look, I get holding your narrative cards to your chest if you're trying to present some kind of twist, but I'm a third of the way through this unedited mess and I still haven't been given a reason to root for the MC or met a single likeable character. The word repetition was so bad in one section last night I thought I was being trolled somehow.

Oof, this one is... troubled. So much word repetition within consecutive sentences, cartoonish and broad characters, and a completely unlikeable MC. Was this self-published without an editor?
