I feel like the first 50 pages of this could have been combined with the second 50 pages and not much would have changed. This book needs more scene, more Estelle, and the boys need to actually be rivals? Unless the point is that Carter is dramatizing their dynamic. Also is there magic in this world? Not much world building so we don’t know
