There’s a lot of people interviewed, a lot of stories written down. Some survivors are dense and dumb, others are interesting and good storytellers. No matter their differences I can’t help but feel for them all. The unity of people during that time is apparent in the text and I can’t imagine the loneliness that overcame them after surviving and losing nearly everything. Great book
