3.5. Nearly a four. When this book is cooking it’s like some sort of cruciform anime. But I think its episodic structure makes it feel a bit plodding and meandering and repetitive. The book overstayed its welcome by a hair, and sometimes the language (though I’m sure a certain level of nebulousness is intentional) makes it hard to parse who is doing what.

Still love the message about faith and community.
