the 16th chapter was a mess to say the least. george said some charming things to lucy (p. 176-180 were insane). after that lucy broke off her engagement with cecil (i was kinda emotional about it 💀 and for some reason i felt bad for him ngl). and now she wants to leave for greece (good for her). but she still has a tendency to copy everyone else’s opinions :( (but thats just her ig). btw the book wonderful!

sooo lucy and cecil are not on the best of terms and the situation has just got even crazier because not only charlotte came to visit, but freddy and george are getting along very well, and so george hangs out around their house a lot. moreover, cecil just read a passage of a book written by miss lavish which captured the first l+g kiss. kinda embarrassing… and so after that GEORGE KISSED LUCY AGAIN. i-

okay its getting interesting - the whole thing with cecil and the others… but to be honest, freddy and george are carrying this book (the pond with the clergyman was so funny), although lucy had some great moments too

sooo lucy just got engaged with some guy named cecil? idk he’s just like the other dumbass upperclass people. i have no idea why lucy accepted it but here we are. where is GEORGE?? what had charlotte said to himmm i need to know. anyway, the tenth chapter is going to be about cecil sooo let me speedrun this. btw freddy and mrs honeychurch were so funny in chapter eight. i loved that.

first of all, old mr. emerson is slay. Lucy I BELIEVE you can resist the urge to copy the opinions of those dumbass conservative englishmen/women.
btw did my boy george emerson just KISS LUCY WHAT THE HELL???

I have no idea what this book will be about but i LOVED Forster’s style of writing in Maurice, so i’ll give this a chance..

my dude george did NOT just throw lucy’s pictures away in the river LMFAOO.
