Ok so it’s def getting better. The incessant internal dialogue of questions from the FMC has finally slowed. The plot has interested me from the beginning but I kept getting taken out by the writing style and the dialogue.

Unpopular opinion it seems…but her inner dialogue being CONSTANT questions is annoying me. It seems like such a lazy way of writing to just have her listing question after question to herself CONSTANTLY. Also, it’s 1/3 of the way in and for the 4th time the ‘anyone else to pester?’ from Odessa and ‘not today.’ from the Guardian is repetitive as hell.

I know! Me too! I was hoping I’d love it but I’m just indifferent. The monster plot is super interesting I’m just not invested in any of the characters and find the inner dialogue of FMC exhausting lol. I’m liking the second half more!
