MC 1 is a bit of a jerk which is giving me major red flags, but so far the thing I can't overlook is that the author recommended her own book about 5% in.... the cringe factor is unreal!!!

One of the MCs says he wants to stay home to read the latest book release from his fave author... who just happens to be the author of this book.
