Most of the recipes aren’t bad, but it is irritating to see an ostensibly English Regency themed cookbook with “biscuits” in the American way (crisp yet fluffy quick bread) as opposed to the distinctly British version (crisp or crunchy cookies). Would biscuits or savory scones with gravy have been served in that period?
