So far Macy is like a physically mature 7 year old with ADHD and poor impulse control. (I should know, I live with one that is only lacking in the physical maturity department. Plus no fangs and/or immortality) This makes it really hard for me not to cast York in the mommy role. I am really hoping for some character development here, because this is all fucked up in my head now.

LOL. Yeah. That'd be me. While he surely is not on the top of my shit list in those books (but it is admittedly crowded up there), anybody who needs to visit a sex shop 3 times in a week needs to get better at making shopping lists. Srsly.

As for going back to the kink shop 3 times in a week, guys are like that with places that have good toys. My husband usually manages multiple trips to the hardware store on weekends when he's playing with some new project. I give him shit about it. Women are much more efficient shoppers than men are. We just get a bad rep.

Srsly. On all of it. My husband went to ACE at least 5 times this week. Never once taking the $5 off coupon that is laying in the middle of the kitchen counter for him.

Yeah, but see. Jean may be a Cheating Piece of Shit, but he actually has a function in the story. Whereas Beauvais, on the other hand just fills 200 pages with absolutely pointless fucking.
Hmm...point there. But when Jean's point is to drive me to tears and violence he still beats Beauvais-the-purposeles on the shit-list. Besides, I can't hear the name Jean anymore without shuddering and puking a little. And that's some heavy emotional scars from a book. Jean is and will always be my #1 douchebag.
