MCs motives still shrouded in secrecy. But we know Caton feels helpless against Amelia’s wiles and I think Amelia is instigating a D/s relationship between them.

Returning to this with underlying questions: 1) What is Caton’s motive to cheat or submit to Amelia 2) While Amelia’s cheating motives are clearer, why is she engaging in this way with Caton?

The best I can deduce is they hated each other to the point of fucking? Doesn’t really add up though. We continue.

This book feels like a slug. I don’t want to DNF but I’m not connecting with anybody on the page.

I’m confounded by these characters and I can’t understand their motives. Even Jack’s subplot is random.

Early portions are dragging a bit. I’m struggling to hold interest.
