Need to re-read. Really only liked Maia’s story and then that started to fall flat too. I dont think these relationships were fleshed out well enough this time around. Felt like they moved too fast in order to get to the conflict rather than focusing on building the foundation. Gio and Julianne story seemed to start to get interesting at the end but didn’t like her uppity attitude
