Joyce is really throwing in an extra portion of filthy kinks with this final chapter.

New favorite bit was the extensive info about the "rectal complaint relief" in the protagonist's wife's cupboard.
I have now reached the final chapter of the book and it has zero punctuation. Epic.

According to my read time tracking app, I only have 4hrs left to read. This feels unreal at this point.

When I think Joyce ran out of linguistic ways to fuck with me, he comes up with new obnoxious formatting. lol
The current chapter – possibly the final one? – is literally written like a Q&A. Like reading a filled out test sheet of someone in class answering questions about the story instead of reading the story. Telling before showing to the nth degree. Surely an intentional dig by Joyce in some way. It's crazy. lmao

Holy shit, this chapter felt like it would never end. And possibly the most nonsensical one. I finally made it to the end of that and am in the last section of the book now. Three more chapters. Holy fuck. 😭

I kept complaining about the current chapter going on for too long and making absolutely no sense, but then we ended up with a guy sitting on the protagonist's face with bare ass, farting. I'm back in.
