Poor David Niven as he had a terrible childhood. He was very abused mostly at "public" schools and the British call private schools public which is very strange. At age 14 his girlfriend was a hooker near Piccadily Circus. I have always admired him and had no idea about how bad he was treated! He went to Stowe for awhile but then later moved to Sandhurst. When I read Stowe I always think of Stowe, VT!

He should have stayed here in the US where he became a big star. Why he went back to the UK is beyond me. He even says he gets depressed.
