How not to start a book: with 50 pages of exposition, info-dumping, worldbuilding, and backstory. I wish someone would have informed the author of this.

I am so confused about Kier's sexuality. He said he was some sort of demi/ace, but then is also claiming to sleep around quite a lot...

Not really digging the writing style or the Illumicrate cover art either.
