I really enjoyed book 1 but man this book has all the things I hate. A one-night stand with MCs in the very beginning before I even get to know the characters, a crazy ex gf, and an ugly mmc pic on the cover. There were some redeeming qualities. Mmc was protective and chivalrous but in the end I just couldn’t get into it. I also was hoping for a poc FMC but was given a Mika Linus look alike .. meh. Not for me
