I'm having a heck of a time. Everything is just sooo....excessively saccharine. Everyone who meets the FMC LOVES her and thinks she's just unbelievably wonderful. EVERYONE. The nicknames - they're distracting and pull me out of the story (Luci for LUCIFER - the head honcho of Hell??) Conversations feels like the most PC, self-help, therapy speak I've ever read - it's unrealistic and hard to connect with.

There are a bunch of things about the story so far that I really, really like, but I just hit a wall about halfway through and needed to take a break. I'm reading another book for a little bit and then plan to come back. :D
