We’re triangle-smoldering in ballrooms now.

The smolder is smoldering.

There‘s a bit of attraction kindling between Sam and Shan, and while it doesn’t really make me all hot and bothered, I guess I’ll keep going. At least it’s an easy read.

So far, an okay read. I like the trans and queer representation. Not sure if the characters or the plot will hold my interest. Political power games are not exactly my favorite thing in books right now. There‘s enough of that going on in RL at this time.

Another illumicrate book that’s lingered too long on my tbr. I have relatively low expectations, having read mixed reviews. The start isn’t bad. Two murders and a blood sacrifice within 27 pages is quite ambitious, and I think I like at least one of the MC’s. But I’m also getting a little tired of reading books with twenty-somethings as main characters.
