I realize that this is published fanfic and suffers from me having no context about the reference characters.

I don’t find this book compelling. Which is shocking. Quinn Riley just sounds overly breathless. I think Abby Craden would have handled this better. Also, the romance timeline seems rushed and I’m not invested in the romance. The sexual tension feels somewhat contrived even if the smut is great. Sigh.

So it’s likely I need to read another genre. I’m likely bored of romances. Lol. That’s what is the basis of my reading slump.
