I wish more of the poems had a little anecdote about what they mean. I can infer for some but others I'm kinda lost 😅

I will set fire to his shelter...The light of the burning hut will witness his glorious deliverance.
Thay. Thay please lol. This sounded so wild before he explained. Throwing curve balls at the end here and sounded like Nux (Mad Max) for a second lol.

I liked the metaphor in Story of a River for how we're chasing things that we already have.

This isn't a book to read fast, its a book to ponder, but my brain really wants me to since its short. Its bugging me immeasurably that I'm not done yet lol. The beginning was very tragic and this middle section is more chill forest vibes.

Thay is kinder than me. I wouldn't be able to go through a war and come out with the mindset that man isn't my enemy. I guess I can understand why though. After everything he went through, maybe it was more to avoid anyone else going through the same pain. If people went on a revenge quest and kept the war going it'd never end.
