Currently locked in and I need something to read while I work that I know is good and won’t distract me too much. What better book than this—one of my all time favorites. Having a blast all over again. In hindsight, there’s something so melancholy about the first part of this book. Simon will never be this free again. Makes me nostalgic for my own youth in a strange way.

A lot of people said that the beginning of this was too slow but I’m thinking we just have different definitions of slow🤔. It’s absolutely fantastic so far. It’s like, the only book I’ve read in a while (the last one being The Assassin’s Apprentice) to scratch my ASOIAF itch. Martin was clearly inspired by a lot of this series and I love catching all the references.
