It is good to see that she does understand racism, but what about what happened in this scene made it different from others as to make it something to stand against but nothing else in the book was worth speaking on or learning about, even some scenes she defended it, so what was so disrespectful about this scene that wasn’t in the others? She yearns for her best friend but can’t take her hair being called weave?
