This book could’ve been 200 pages shorter bc the author is over-explaining everything. It’s a completely inorganic info dump.
In 29 PGS there were 16 LINES of dialogue total - some being only a handful of words exchanged. The dialogue does not flow naturally & there is so much stilted narration btwn lines you forget what they said right before. It’s all TELL, no reader trust no weaving into storytelling nada
