The dad got the same problem to, but it’s worse because he is just piggybacking off of mom. Can’t even form his own opinion. The way they diminish her efforts toward what she is passionate about probably contributes significantly to her own whining and lack of consideration of others.

I don’t understand why they can’t make space to appreciate her contributions to theater and also guide her in recognizing the importance of what they value. Trying to force it upon her is obviously getting them nowhere
