Legitimately one of the best and smartest protagonists I’ve read in a long time, but he’s still a 17 year old boy who makes mistakes. Vis is easily going to cement himself as a favorite for me

This is so good it’s like candy. I regret letting other people’s reviews that call Vis a Gary Stu keep me from reading this. He’s really not, first of all, he’s just super intelligent. Secondly, it is so extremely, intensely refreshing to have a protagonist that’s not as sharp as a bowling ball. If you’re tired of idiot main characters, do yourself a favor and pick this up.

I know I'm super early into this, but it reminds me a lot of reading The Count of Monte Cristo, Vis is that type of incredibly smart like Edmond Dantes was and it's delightful. I'm rooting for you Vis
