I’m far enough into this that I don’t really want to drop it at this point but I’m honestly pretty bored. The story and characters are mostly interesting, but there’s just so much long winded info-dumping and name dropping of characters/places/deities that I’m never going to be able to remember. Every time I think the story is about to get going, it slows down again for more boring exposition… 😩

i dropped this around the 30% mark because of the same issues you’re talking about 😭😭 i also thought it didn’t offer anything new to fantasy and was boring in that as well

Honestly, I think I am actually just going to drop this. I keep hoping that it will get good, but I don’t think that I have another 9 hours in me for this crap 😭
