did not realize this book was a) written in the 90s and b) translated from Spanish, and it's incredible how much those two things just made me sit up and pay attention. Like yeah sure "gay Dracula retelling" /sounds/ good, but I've been burned by those before. But NINETIES MEXICAN GAY DRACULA RETELLING?? Now we're cooking with gas.
