Not a fan of his "I assumed my girl, who knows how much her safety means to me, would tell me if she were hurt".

It puts ALL the blame for mis/non-communication on HER. He should take responsibility, especially since he's the aggressor in their relationship. It does NOT come off as love. Don't make her feel bad for questioning your love, you asshole!

How DARE you feel betrayed that she didn't tell you she was hurt when her being hurt was your fault.

Do NOT act like pushing her is waiting for consent! Author, I'm about to freak out on you.

I really hate that he's not caring about her consent nor is he groveling at all she deserves better than for him to immediately push for sex.

He is NOT a consent king.
