It’s weird to me that Thorne asks Leaf if he’s been tested but doesn’t specify that he’s clean himself. He said “it’s my first time” but we find out later he just meant it was his first time with a man. Would you not clarify if you’ve been tested since being with women? Why ask him and not give him the same clarification?

Same!! I actually commented on this in my review of the book. To me, it came off as if Thorne was saying that because he had never been with a man before, that made him a safe person to have unprotected sex with. And that made me furious, because it implies that sex with women is CLEAN, and sex with men is dirty. So wrong. I don't think the authors really meant it that way, but they need to be more aware of their wording!!

@Jane yes! And I don’t think that’s how the author intended it, but it would’ve been better even to just say that he always use protection with women. Because why would you not with the risk of pregnancy?
