FMC becomes famous painter and they adopt some old she would talk to when volunteering with foster kids. I’m happy FMC got her happy ending but this story and execution was meh. Also the text conversations from the guy group was irritating.

I finished this finally I didn’t love ending FMC gets whipped by uncle Mmc finds out and then just calls his friend to deal with it. Then the uncle sells her in an auction and Mmc borrows money from friend (Mmc from other book, same guy) to buy her and the this guy digs up dirt on uncle and gets him arrested and killed in prison. So basically if the friend didn’t exist Mmc would be useless.

Then FMC gets beat up by her uncle pomp and mmc is surprised. However had he asked more questions he would know how to keep her safe. I needed up skimming a lot there was so much extra with the groups of friends, their group chat, the wives and his dad all stuff that really added nothing to the couples storyline. I could finish this but what’s the point. I stand by the idea that once FMC is with mmc no one should

Then he learned she was an escort and he didn’t care, great. But there was no learning her situation, why she was doing it, was she in danger or coerced. Just him paying to date her and pretend the escort thing wasn’t even a factor. Like didn’t he think the service would ask questions or worry when she wasn’t seeing other clients.

This was such a massive waste of time. I chose this because FMC was escort and mmc fell hard and wanted to get her out of that life. But there was very little build which tracks for this series but still I expected a bit more. Mmc saw FMC and wanted her immediately once he realized she was with his arch nemesis he played dirty to get her.. okay fine.
