Loving this book so far, seems very likely to end up on my favourites shelf. Some interesting parallels could be drawn between this book and Camus' novel The Stranger.
Embarrassingly enough I can relate to many of Yozo's insecurities (sans misogyny).
Note: Yozo himself is quite misogynistic, but this seems an extension of his general misanthropy and the book portrays him as being uniquely loathsome.

Loving this book so far, seems very likely to end up on my favourites shelf. Some interesting parallels could be drawn between this book and Camus' novel The Stranger. Also interesting that these two similar novels were written around the same time but in wildly different cultural contexts.
Embarrassingly enough I can relate to many of Yozo's insecurities, making the book something of a cosy and affirming read.
