Oh well, not as great as I thought, but still very good. It is the first Adam Roberts book wherein I’ve had to skip a bit. I really can’t be doing with unpunctuated text. Too confusing. It’s only one chapter so far so fingers crossed he won’t do it again. Aside from that, it’s a great read.

Certainly an unusual book, one might even say novel. There are some passages of Modernist experimentation, which frankly I could do without. Overall it’s good though. If a bit lacking in action and excitement. Plenty of interest.

Back on track. The action's kicking off when suddenly the setting, protagonist and writing style totally change--and it totally works. Think I'm getting the hang of the thing itself now. But you never know.
