This whole story felt like an afterthought. It kept recalling everything we already knew from the first series and added nothing to it. Even the glimpses we got of the original mcs were lackluster. I didn’t like either mc stesha was a jerk and treated FMC horribly until he realized she was his mate and then he was some Prince Charming. FMC was whiney and weak but I guess that played into the omega plot line

But then the reveal was he did nothing lol. She was so heart broken over her dragon dying that he couldn’t get a rise out of her and got bored. Like what he was supposedly obsessed with her, poisoning her drinks to prevent her omega transformation, raping his sister while calling her the FMC name. But when he gets her alone he gets bored what even was the point.

Of course FMC was a lovesick puppy for mmc and he rejected her and she literally almost died. I already knew I hated rejected mate plots but I thought I’d give this author a shot and it sucked per usual. One of the reasons I wanted to read this book was because the villain emetic kept FMC hostage under the mountain for centuries and there was mystery on what he did to her

This was a miss for me and I’m so sad about it because I loved the first series. This was age gap which was already strike one and then he was her guardian when she was like 14 on and started noticing her attractiveness when she was like 16/17 it just was too groomer even though the author tried to make it clear he was not a creep and was just mated to her but they didn’t know it
