Casualties of Art: 3/5 stars. I enjoyed the complexity of the character and the commentary about insecure men becoming incels. But, the scenes did really drag on due to the voice purposefully being insufferable. The other stories just did insufferable characters better.

“I wonder if they realize their decision to immigrate inadvertently fucked up my love life.” Truly an incel.

I know the narrator is supposed to be unlikeable but god he is annoying

The manipulation is so subtle

While the perspective is interesting this story is boring compared to the others

The dollhouse: 5/5 stars. I would start sobbing if I wasn’t at work.

An important thing about people pleasing: it does inconvenience others even if that’s counterintuitive

Happy endings: 5/5 stars. This is very dark and I appreciate it for that. This story is uncomfortable and that’s very effective for the messaging.
