i just know that ms wang is an anti-zionist. the whole “god promised this land” thing lol

bit of a shame that the mystery is so obvious. i’m 100% certain that my guess from chapter 2 is exactly where things are headed, but a familiar story done well is still a good time and this has been done *very* well so far.

i’m not sure if there’s a romantic subplot but i could get on board with this situation

my guess with all the mentions of “siphoning” and light motifs that the blight is human made and sucks life out of everything around the city to power it, or something like that. it’s going to be some kind of capitalist parasite allegory.

damn ok that first chapter rly came out swinging. that was gut wrenching.
