A little sylvan nightcap each night. A mixed bag of poems and essays.
Hard to believe that the “new font “ created from trees has Tree of Heaven (biggest misnomer ever) as its tree for the letter T. Honestly, that’s the worst possible choice. Taxus, Toreya, Tamarind, Tupelo, Tulip tree, and on and on with choices of noninvasive trees….

A decent collection and a lovely bedside book.
I am enjoying it only because I forced myself not to give up after noticing that in the beautiful alphabet made of trees (the author calls it a new font- that’s pushing it imo) the letter T was represented not by Tupelo, Tamarind, Thuja, Torreya, or any of the many possible choices but by Tree Of Heaven. Yeah, Ailanthus, that invasive menace of a tree. Really.
