Annotations say many of these rules were to preserve Muslims safety as their religion grew.

Juz 1/30; Al-Baqarah: The Cow
Reiterates stories from the Bible calls out Jews for repeatedly disobeying God and ignoring messages from Islamic prophets for false idols.
The Cow was tough to understand; internet tells me Moses called a search for a cow to solve a murder, but I don’t see it in the actual text. My book’s annotation claims it an allegory for Jesus’s death and resur., but doesn’t seem right.
